The lovely Collie River Valley is nestled in the peaks of the south western Darling Ranges between Roelands and Darkan. It's like a secret valley hiding lots of beautiful natural and man-made lakes, rivers and dams and trails, teeming with our native flora and fauna just waiting to be explored.
There are camping spots, picnic spots, fishing spots and plenty of trails including the famous Bibbulman Track stretching over 1000km from Albany to Kalamunda and the Munda Biddi Trail for cyclists which now goes all the way to Albany and is considered the longest mountain bike trail in the world. Water-skiing, hiking, canoeing, swimming and boating are only some of the many activities you can enjoy.
Racing at the Motorplex
As well as the natural outdoor pursuits, Collie is home to the Kostecki Motorplex, home of the GazzaNats and a multitude of other motor races and events. Events are held most weekends. Collie also hosts many other sporting events through the year.
Collie Tourist Coal Mine
Whether you are into outdoor pursuits or watching them, having a look around the Tourist Mine, or the countryside, there are wineries and farms and businesses producing lavender, blueberries, honey and lots of other delights for you to sample.
Collie is a great place to base yourself to look around the other valleys around the area such as the Preston Valley and the Ferguson Valley. Being only two hours drive from Perth it even makes a fabulous day trip in the car or on a bike and you can come and enjoy our fabulous Coffee Shoppe/ Tea House with our gourmet teas, coffee and other beverages as well the many tasty treats from our kitchen.
